AI-based Connectory: Feb 4 2026

Community-Engaged Research Panel: Dec 2 2025

We heard from our three Panelists, Dr. Shannon Bartelt-Hunt (University of Nebraska-Lincoln), Dr. Michael Cardiff (University of Wisconsin-Madison), and Dr. Riley Mulhern (University of Colorado), on their research and experiences with private well community-engaged work. Fall Research Seminars by Dr. Siddhartha Roy and Dr. Aaron Bivins: Nov 3 2025

We heard presentations from both Dr. Siddhartha Roy and Dr. Aaron Bivins highlighting their emerging research in water quality and public health. Dr. Roy presented on “Preventing Lead (Pb) Contamination in Community Wells in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: An Implementation Science Case Study from Ghana.” Dr. Bivins presented on “Private Sewers, Private Wells, Public Health: Wicked Low-Level Equilibrium Traps.” This meeting was recorded and can be accessed here.


Scoping Review on Well Water Research Team Meeting: Apr 2 2025

Scoping Review on Well Water Research Planning: Feb 5 2025

Our team gathered to discuss writing a scoping review on the state-of-the-science in private well water security, well stewardship, and health outcomes. We discussed themes, authorship, potential working groups to move towards a publication in Geohealth or Environmental Health Perspectives. This meeting was recorded and can be accessed here. Demystifying NIH: Dec 18 2024

Dr. Jeffrey Wickliffe gave an awesome presentation on the structure of NIH funding and award mechanisms, some differences between NIH and NSF proposals, student funding opportunities, and more! Connect and Collaborate: Nov 13th 2024

This meeting focused on connecting and collaborating among participants over research needs and interests, ways to improve collaborations, and RCN solutions for strategies and tools to build capacity. Additionally, a panel was held including Jason Barrett (Mississippi State Coop Extension Water Specialist) and Evan Kane (Onsite Water Protection Director at Wake County).
